A leading art and design university in Vancouver is seeking a Research Grants Facilitator and Ethics Officer. This role involves leading grant development for faculty, ensuring compliance with research integrity and ethics policies, and managing the Research Ethics Board. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree related to research administration and at least three years of experience with SSHRC and NSERC programs. This position offers part-time work with flexible hours and competitive pay based on experience.

Hours to be Determined Grade 7 ($37.90 to $50.54 per hour)
This position is fully funded through external sources. Continuation of the position is contingent upon ongoing funding availability.

The Research Grants Facilitator and Ethics Officer (RGFEO) leads ECU’s pre‑award grant development services for faculty, with a focus on Tri‑agency programs including SSHRC, NSERC and the NSERC College and Community Innovation (CCI) suite. The RGFEO partners with faculty to identify opportunities, develop competitive applications, and navigate Tri‑Agency policies. In addition, the RGFEO supports ECU’s compliance framework, including responsible conduct of research (RCR), research integrity and misconduct processes, and provides supervision of the Research Ethics Board (REB) staff. The RGFEO contributes to REB decision‑making processes and may serve as Acting REB Chair when required.
