Job summary

A regional health authority in St. Pierre-Jolys seeks a qualified mental health professional to provide evidence-based therapy to children and adolescents. This permanent position requires a graduate in Health-Related Social Sciences and experience in trauma informed care. The ideal candidate is proficient in both English and French, has strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team. Qualifications

  • Minimum two years’ experience providing evidence-based therapy to children and adolescents.
  • Minimum of two years supervised counselling experience.
  • Experience in trauma informed care, Brief Treatment models, CBT, and DBT.

Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based therapy to clients.
  • Complete psychosocial assessments and mental status examinations.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding client information.

Skills

Knowledge of child and adolescent development
Knowledge of mental health service
Advanced psychosocial assessment skills
Knowledge of recovery principles
Proficiency with MS Office suite
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively
Bilingual proficiency

Education

Graduate of an accredited post-secondary education in Health-Related Social Sciences
Master’s degree (preferred)
