Opportunity to Impact Our Online Presence

By Joining our Digital Marketing Team

CPA Ontario is currently in search of an SEO & Web Specialist who will be responsible for leading the optimization and performance of our digital presence. As the SEO & Web Specialist you will use your knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) best practices to improve organic search visibility, drive traffic and ensure that our website delivers a seamless, user-friendly experience that supports our broader marketing and business objectives. Also, you will help inform SEO and content strategy to drive ranking, engagement and revenue on our main digital platforms (cpaontario.ca website and our Professional Development platform) as well as pull data, create reports and dashboards to support campaign performance and assess key performance metrics.

What You’ll Be Doing :

Providing subject matter expert guidance and marketing plans for digital marketing campaign requests for marketing leads and business units.

Creating pages and executing updates and changes to company website including content and visual layout changes while maintaining a commitment to consistent content governance, SEO and UX principles.

Analyzing, reviewing, and implementing changes to key digital platforms which are the cpaontario.ca website and the Professional Development platform – ensuring pages are optimized for search engines and to achieve targets.

Utilizing web analytics tools to produce insights based on comparative reporting and tracking of web metrics.

Ensuring quality and consistent branding in the execution of all content marketing efforts on the web, and all digital marketing communications.

Who You Are :

A post-secondary graduate in Marketing or a related business field combined with 4 or more years of work experience in a digital marketing capacity or a website & SEO focused role. A certification in Google Analytics is highly preferred.

Experienced with SEO including optimizing content, meta tags, headers, images as well as website architecture, page speed optimization, mobile-friendliness, crawling and indexing issues and link-building strategies. In addition, proficiency in tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs or Google Keyword Planner are required.

Well versed in website management including the use of WordPress, Drupal, Sitecore, Shopify and familiar with UX / UI collaboration and working with designers to improve SEO and user experience.

Able to perform website maintenance, updating content, fixing errors, managing redirects and version control. Experience with a content management system would be an asset.

Skilled at analytics and reporting, creating and interpreting SEO reports and able to translate data into actionable insights. Familiarity with GA4 and event tracking is required.

Adept at developing SEO strategies that are tied to business goals, collaborating with multiple teams and stakeholders. Exposure to CRO (conversion rate optimization) and A / B testing would be an asset.

Digitally fluent in Word, Excel (advanced), PowerPoint, Outlook, One Drive, SharePoint and Teams.

An excellent communicator (verbal and written) with a proven ability to work well under pressure and thrive in a team-oriented environment.
