The key responsibilities include:

1. Planning, organizing, and conducting interviews to gather evidence, validate reliability and suitability, determine loyalty, and resolve concerns discovered in documentation or investigations.
2. Conducting consultative interviews with references to verify identity, gather application-related information, and validate data.

Work will be on an as-needed basis with no guaranteed hours, in partnership with Atlantic Region Departmental Security, including remote work and occasional on-site training.

This is an anticipatory staffing process for future casual opportunities in the Atlantic Region Departmental Security Section. Casual employment is temporary, up to 90 days per year, with shifts as required. Applicants should be able to commute to the designated locations.

• Education: Secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives (e.g., test scores, combination of education, training, experience).
• Experience: Planning and conducting investigations; preparing reports.
• Additional Qualifications: Support of security programs or interpretation of Treasury Board policies.

English essential; bilingual (BBC/BBC or CBC/CBC) preferred. Competencies include thinking critically, initiative, teamwork, and integrity. Abilities include effective communication, working under pressure, and adaptability.

• Availability for overtime and work in a police environment.
