Under the general direction of the Program Support Team Manager, the incumbent is responsible for providing support to the Resource Coordinators (RC) in their role as supervisors of direct service staff (DSS) in the Home Care Program.
The incumbent provides education and ongoing orientation/training to a variety of staff with respect to the RC role and its relationship with other healthcare-related classifications within the WRHA including Nursing Resource Coordinators, Case Coordinators, Scheduling Clerks, and Team Managers.
The Resource Coordinator Specialist (RCS) identifies inefficiencies in the system, makes recommendations for solutions/changes, and provides support and feedback in implementing these changes (under the direction of the Program Support Team Manager and the Director).
This term position may end earlier as outlined in your collective agreement.
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.

The WRHA legal entity includes Churchill Health Centre, Deer Lodge Centre, Golden West Centennial Lodge, Grace Hospital, Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, Pan Am Clinic, River Park Gardens, Victoria General Hospital, WRHA corporate programs, and WRHA community health services.
