Overview

We are looking for a Full Time HR Recruiter to manage our full cycle recruitment, from identifying potential hires to interviewing and evaluating candidates. If you have experience with talent acquisition, and can help us recruit faster and more effectively, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will play an important part in building a strong employer brand for our company to ensure we attract, hire, and retain the most qualified employees.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with managers to identify current and future hiring needs while keeping up to date with job descriptions
  • Develop internal job postings as per Union Collective Agreement requirements
  • Screen incoming resumes, shortlist and present ideal candidates to hiring managers for review
  • Coordinate interviews via phone, video and in-person, conduct reference and credential checks in accordance with company policy
  • Report to hiring managers and HR Manager on the status of open positions
  • Participate in job fairs, college presentations and host in-house recruitment events
  • Develop partnerships with local employment agencies, career centres, and educational institutions to increase access to qualified candidates
  • Organize and participate in community job fairs and employment networking events to actively recruit new talent
  • Onboard new employees to become fully integrated and complete exit interviews as necessary
  • Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, orientation, employee engagement, performance evaluations, etc.)
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as needed
  • Manage and maintain the agency’s social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn), including developing and scheduling content
  • Create engaging posts that highlight agency culture, staff achievements, upcoming hiring events, and individual success stories
  • Increase community engagement and grow the agency’s online presence and followers
  • Support the development and distribution of the agency’s internal and external newsletters
Requirements and skills
  • Human Resources related certificate or diploma
  • 1+ years proven work experience as an HR Recruiter or similar role
  • Hands on experience with various selection processes (video interviewing, phone interviewing, reference checks, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with recruiting software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (Citation)
  • Have a working knowledge and understanding of the DS sector
  • Good knowledge of Ontario ESA regulations and Labour laws
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple recruitment projects simultaneously
  • Experience using social media and digital tools to promote employer branding and staff engagement
  • Graphic design or content creation skills are considered an asset
Bona Fide Requirements
  • The ability to engage in all aspects of Safe Management and valid First Aid/CPR Certified
  • A valid Driver’s License, clean driving record, reliable vehicle and insurable under the Agency Policies
  • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccinations through approved QR Code
