Résumé du poste
A leading industrial manufacturer in Port Hawkesbury is seeking a skilled Purchasing Manager to oversee all procurement activities. Responsibilities include leading negotiation for contracts, managing supplier relations, and ensuring operational efficiency. The ideal candidate has over 10 years of purchasing experience, preferably in an industrial setting, and a relevant degree. This role offers a competitive salary and opportunities for professional growth.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of purchasing experience in industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing staff and unionized personnel is a plus.
Responsabilités
- Lead procurement activities and negotiate contracts.
- Oversee and mentor the Purchasing and Stores teams.
- Manage inventory levels to ensure operational readiness.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance on projects.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies.
- Optimize procurement processes using ERP systems.
