Description

Are you passionate about Surveying and Geomatics and teaching a new generation of survey technicians? Can you create and maintain a welcoming and supportive environment with students of diverse multicultural, socioeconomic and academic backgrounds? Are you eager to work collaboratively to find innovative ways to improve student success? If these questions resonate with you, then we invite you to consider joining our Surveying & Geomatics Program. Clark College is currently accepting applicants for part-time Surveying and Geomatics Technology Professors.

This part-time position is an ongoing recruitment in which applications are collected year-round. Applicants must be available to teach the daytime, evening or weekend hours. Positions will be filled as program needs arise.

Position Responsibilities

General Faculty Responsibilities

  • Instruct classes utilizing techniques and knowledge of the discipline that facilitate student learning.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications and Competencies

  • Current licensed land surveyor in Washington or Oregon
  • Experience in Route Surveying and/or Survey Computation and Platting preferred
  • Experience in mentoring, training, or teaching
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well with people of all ages, from academically, culturally, and socio-economically diverse backgrounds

Supplemental Information

Salary Statement: Lecture hourly rate is $90.47, and lab hourly rate is $77.27.
