Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at the Fort St. John Hospital.

Under the direction of the Manager, Med/Surg; ICU; In-patients, is responsible for the assessment and treatment of patients presenting in the ICU Unit.

Days, Nights, 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 (rotating)

It has 44 Acute Care beds and 124 residential beds and is equipped to handle 22,000 ER visits per year. Highlights include:

• Endoscopy suite, 2 state-of-the-art operating rooms, plus a procedure room
• Ambulatory clinics including Cancer and Hemodialysis
• Medical and Surgical inpatient rooms (40 beds)
• 3 Intensive care units
• Minor surgeries
• 7 single Maternity rooms for Labour, Delivery, and Post-Partum

Fort St. John also hosts the Health Unit and Primary Care Clinic serving the community.

Known as "The Energetic City," Fort St. John reflects its resource base of oil, natural gas, forestry, and agriculture. Located above the Peace River Valley, it serves as the district's capital with a population of over 21,400, servicing an area of approximately 70,000. • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN.
• Current CPR, IV Therapy, Blood Glucose Monitoring, and Ventilator Certificates.
• In-house Coronary Care Course Certificate or equivalent.
• One year of recent full-time experience in intensive care.

• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work effectively with others.
• Physical ability to perform duties.
• Proficiency with ICU equipment such as Cardiac Monitors, BP, SpO2 Monitors, ECG machines.
• Ability to operate related equipment and initiate independent work.
• Knowledge of procedures like IV infusions.
