A leading health services provider in Halifax is seeking a Specialty Doctor in Dermatology. This full-time role involves supporting outpatient care, managing inpatient referrals, and participating in clinical teaching. The ideal candidate will have four years post-graduate experience, including two in Dermatology, hold an MRCP, and possess strong clinical and communication skills. The position offers a salary ranging from £61,542 to £99,216 per annum and is fixed term for 12 months.
Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust (CHFT) is seeking to appoint a Specialty Doctor in Dermatology to support the dermatology services, providing clinical care of inpatient and outpatient patients under consultant supervision. The post has strong links with Leeds, attendance at the weekly MDT, and potential opportunities for training placements in the tertiary treatment centre. The successful applicant will work within CHFT delivering clinical services to the population of Calderdale and Huddersfield.
The Dermatology service currently handles over 5000 two-week wait outpatient attendances per annum for diagnosis and treatment of potential skin cancer. Outpatient clinics operate from both sites with inpatient inreach across Huddersfield Royal Infirmary and Calderdale Royal Hospital.
The post holder will be expected to take significant responsibility for supervision and management of inpatient referrals, under consultant supervision.
The appointee will be expected to undertake all medical duties, including assessing ill patients, managing medical problems and liaising with relatives and other medical departments.
The duties are outlined in the timetable below. Your duties will include continuing clinical responsibility to the named consultants to whom you are responsible, and the duties they delegate to you shall be such as are consistent with your seniority and specialisation as a practitioner in this grade.
