Agropur has an immediate opening for a multi-talented Maintenance Technician to join our team in Truro, Nova Scotia. Our Maintenance team plays an integral role in the organization to ensure the reliability and sustainability of our plant and equipment.

What’s involved in this role:

• Day Shift, schedule between 6am and 7pm, 40 hours a week.

• Able to maintain, troubleshoot and perform repairs to auxiliary equipment.

• Ability and willingness to perform unscheduled and emergency repairs as required.

• Install, dismantle, maintain, repair, and reassemble mechanical equipment.

• Installing, repairing and optimizing electrical systems.

• Ensures compliance with established standards and legislation.

• Maintain open communications and teamwork with plant personnel while achieving critical maintenance objectives.

• All other duties as assigned.

What you need to join our team:

• Preference will be given to candidates who possess a classification of Industrial Electrician or Industrial Mechanic.

• Strong skill and knowledge of mechanical and electrical trades .

• Stainless Steel welding ability – TIG/Sanitary Welding .

• Ability to read blueprints and schematics .

• Plumbing, Pipefitting and electrical experience considered an asset.
