Job summary
A leading HR consultancy in Alberta seeks an Electrical Engineer to assist in managing construction projects. You will coordinate with architects and contractors, ensure compliance with regulations, and monitor project progress. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering and experience in electrical works. This role is crucial for the success of various construction projects across Canada.
Qualifications
- Experience in electrical works in construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in project schedules, budgets, and resources.
- Coordinate with architects and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary.
- Provide technical support to project team members.
Skills
Education
Working location: Islandwide based on the projects (Office at Woodlands) - will station in 1 location only
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience in electrical works in construction projects, with strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and regulations
- Assist the Project Manager in developing and managing project schedules, budgets and resources.
- Coordinate with architects and contractors to ensure project success.
- Review project plans, specifications, and contracts.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustment as necessary
- Communicate project status to Project Manager
- Manage project risks and identify opportunities for improvement
- Provide technical support to project team members
- Ensure quality control and quality assurance for all project deliverables
- Attend project meetings and facilitate communication among team members.
- Any other ad-hoc projects assigned from time to time
