We’re looking for a full-time Electro-Mechanical Lead Engineer at St-Bruno, Qc, CA.

Your future role

A career-defining role, the Lead Electro-Mechanical Engineer is in charge of leading a functional team in defining projects general guidelines and architecture, ensuring development and successful on-time and quality design implementation.

All deliverables must meet the general standards in force or specifically requested by our internal and external customers.

While interacting daily with co-workers, external suppliers, and management, all activities will be performed in accordance with strict Health & Safety procedures as prescribed by legislation and the ALSTOM Health & Safety policies.

Responsibilities
  • Planning, piloting, and reporting on Electro-Mechanical Domain activities and related deliverables
  • Designing products taking into account project requirements
  • Managing production of deliverables on assigned EMD work packages
  • Monitoring assigned Electro-Mechanical Installations, Locker and Harness Volume definition deliveries
  • Submitting required Material Planning documents (Purchase Orders, Schedule Agreements) and follow up with Suppliers accordingly
Expectations
  • Ensuring project Electro-Mechanical Domain activities are always in compliance with QCD commitments
  • Ensuring product performance, manufacturability, serviceability, testability
  • Supporting Sourcing, Industrialization, and Manufacturing teams during Production ramp-up
  • Defining mitigation plans
  • Contributing to the TE Electro-Mechanical Domain’s continuous improvement
About you

  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent combined with significant experience in project management
  • Exposure to manufacturing production environment
  • Mechanical / Electro-mechanical design using Catia V5 or equivalent
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with equally strong computer skills
  • Strong team leadership with excellent communication skills in French
  • ERP knowledge (SAP preferred)
