Overview

Presales Channel Security Expert-GSI at Fortinet supports the success of our rapidly growing business. Fortinet protects people, devices, and data everywhere. This role involves working with a sales representative in a defined territory to support technical strategies, offerings, pre-sales, sales calls, customer POCs (proof of concepts), and post-sales activities. The role focuses on supporting GSI partners such as IBM, Accenture, TechM, HCL, and one Telco partner.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute joint strategy with the direct sales person aligned to partner and Fortinet goals.
  • Listen to and understand partner technical requirements, translating them into a solution that competitive offerings do not match.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for partners in collaboration with the sales partner.
  • Collaborate with Fortinet teams (account sales, technical, marketing, specialization overlays) and partner teams (sales, technical, professional services, managed services) to develop go-to-market offerings.
  • Continuously improve knowledge of Fortinet products and solutions, maintain an understanding of the competitive landscape, and Fortinet’s ability to provide protection against evolving threats.
  • Position Fortinet solutions to the partner remotely or in person with strong communication skills and the ability to present through whiteboarding, technical papers, plans, or customer discussions.
  • Manage time effectively when working on multiple deals to maintain a positive customer experience.
  • Maintain accurate activity, contact, and account technical information of all customers and prospects in our CRM (Salesforce).
We Are Looking For
  • A high aptitude for security technology, including encryption and authentication, with knowledge of network security, intrusion detection, anti-virus, routing, switching, LAN and WAN being desirable. CISSP accreditation is beneficial.
  • Experience in a pre-sales engineer role, managing end-to-end technical aspects of deals through to technical closure.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and impact on key wins within your current organization.
  • Ability to build and maintain customer relationships and effectively communicate technically to a range of external and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of RADIUS, PKI, IKE, Certificates, L2TP, IPSEC, FIREWALL, 802.1Q, MD5, SSH, SSL, SHA1, DES, 3DES.
Optional but not required
  • Experience in specialized areas such as public or private cloud.
  • Experience in building managed service offerings.
Education
  • College, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
