Your next challenge

Reporting to the Mine Engineering Supervisor, you will be part of the Mine Department. This role is specifically designed to develop the successful candidate into a licensed Professional Engineer, supporting a long‑term career at Agnico Eagle. You will support operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement while learning and growing in a dynamic mining environment.

  • Assist with daily mine engineering tasks, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Support mine planning, design, and scheduling activities.
  • Collaborate with operations, geology, and maintenance teams to optimize mine performance.
  • Participate in safety initiatives and promote a culture of safety and responsibility.
  • Contribute to environmental stewardship and compliance efforts.
  • Engage in continuous improvement projects and support technology adoption.
  • Learn to use mine engineering software and tools.
  • Take part in training and development opportunities to build your technical and leadership skills.

What you need to succeed
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a related field (graduated within the last 2 years or soon to graduate).

Your work schedule

Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON.

You must be willing to work on a rotational schedule at a remote mine site.
