Role Description

Haloo is looking for a Junior Account Executive , based in Canada, to join our Sales team. This is a unique hybrid role designed for an ambitious sales professional who wants to build a strong foundation in both business development and sales, with opportunity to grow into an Account Executive role.

In this role, you'll spend approximately 70% of your time on prospecting and lead generation - identifying Haloo's ideal customers, executing outbound strategies, and creating market‑wide excitement about our AI‑powered trademark platform. The remaining 30% of your time will be spent working closely with the sales team, supporting mid‑market and enterprise deals through call preparation, research, and strategic deal management.

You're a detective, a hunter, and a strategic partner‑hungry to succeed, results‑driven, resilient, and creative. This role is designed to help you develop the skills and relationships needed to transition into a full closing Account Executive role, where you'll own your own accounts.

Responsibilities
Prospecting & Lead Generation (70%)
  • Develop new business leads through creation of customer lists, research, and prospecting
  • Use prospecting and research tools (including LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, Apollo, and HubSpot) to identify target prospects
  • Develop and execute Haloo's direct outbound strategy to drive growth, including content drafting and optimization
  • Utilize sales development best practices with email, phone, and social outreach using enablement technology to connect with new prospects
  • Own an account list and prospect to set up meetings with qualified opportunities
  • Act as the first point of contact on a prospective customer's journey to becoming a Haloo client
  • Qualify inbound leads from marketing and transition them to Account Executives
  • Strategize with team members to innovate and improve the overall sales development process
Sales Support (30%)
  • Partner with Account Executives on mid‑market and enterprise deals by conducting pre‑call research and preparation
  • Manage strategic follow‑up sequences and nurture relationships with prospects in active deal cycles
  • Assist with proposal preparation and stakeholder mapping for complex deals
  • Learn the full sales cycle by observing and contributing to deals from qualification through close
  • Develop your skills in consultative selling, objection handling, and closing techniques
Requirements (Sounds like you?)

Experience : Prior start‑up experience is a huge plus, as is prior work experience as an SDR, BDR, or in a junior sales role with a demonstrated history of success. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred. Experience using CRM tools (HubSpot), Apollo, Sales Navigator, etc. is a plus.

Great communicator : Excellent written and oral communication skills. Part of our job is to capture people's attention and get them excited about Haloo. You're able to do this both over the phone and in emails, conveying excitement for our solutions. You communicate in a clear, persuasive, and compelling manner.

Highly organized : Excellent organizational skills to keep track of leads and data, work within HubSpot, track all interactions and data points consistently, and follow SOPs meticulously.

Strategic thinker : You love data and are always evaluating and looking to improve results based on what is and isn't working. You figure out what matters most to people and can articulate value for them. You're constantly adding value and looking for opportunities based on the trends and information before you.

Results‑driven : You are highly motivated to succeed, with a very strong work ethic. You are persistent and have thick skin-when the going gets tough (as it often is with outreach campaigns), you keep going and are determined to succeed and yield results.

Eager to learn & grow : You're excited about developing into a full Account Executive and are hungry to learn consultative selling techniques. You're passionate about our product and a quick study on learning new tech and tools. You're constantly learning about trademarks, legal tech, and our industry.
