The Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting Project Managers in all aspects of GFL’s water solution service offerings. The role includes field work and supporting GFL Technicians in the hands-on operation of GFL water treatment systems. This position supports field-based operations, not a single facility.

Office located in Surrey, BC, with periodic travel to projects expected.

• Assist in cost estimating
• Proposal preparation
• Initiating projects
• Health and safety performance
• Monitoring and controlling project execution
• Documentation and communications

• Assist in the development of project health and safety plans and execution of safe work practices in the GFL Water Solutions Operations facility and project sites

• Assist in the preparation of estimates of varying complexity.
• Assist the Project Manager in bid review meetings with stakeholders and manage action items within required timelines.

• Assist the Project Manager in planning and project execution activities.
• Work with project teams to create and update project schedules.

• Assist in project execution from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget.
• Support project operations with ability to perform hands-on water treatment system operation and troubleshooting.
• Take part in project kick-off meetings where possible, and follow up with regular site visits
• Work with Superintendent and Technicians to ensure project tasks are completed on time and to applicable standards.

• Be a strong team player who contributes proactively and provides leadership.

• Ability to develop, nurture and maintain strong relationships with GFL Water Solutions clients and within the organization.
• Strong time management skills and ability to work effectively under pressure, meet demanding deadlines and manage changing priorities.

• College diploma or university degree.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
• Previous experience on construction sites and / or industrial facilities is an asset.
