Job summary
A leading senior care provider in Halton Hills is seeking compassionate individuals to join as CAREGivers. You'll provide companionship, assist with daily living activities, and support seniors in a dignified aging experience. Qualifications include a Personal Support Worker diploma or nursing program enrollment, with compassion and excellent communication skills essential. A valid driver's license is preferred but not mandatory.
Qualifications
- Compassionate and friendly demeanor required.
- Ability to communicate with clients in a congenial manner.
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle with insurance preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and conversation to seniors.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks.
- Support daily living activities like toileting and bathing.
- Escort clients to medical appointments.
- Provide dementia care and hospice support.

Home Instead provides a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.
- Providing companionship and conversation to stimulate, encourage, and assist a senior client.
- Assisting clients in maintaining their homes by providing light housekeeping tasks such as meal preparation, dusting, laundry, vacuuming.
- Providing medication reminders.
- Supporting senior clients in completing their activities of daily living including toileting, bathing, dressing, feeding, and ambulation assistance.
- Escorting clients to medical appointments.
- Dementia care.
- Hospice and palliative support.
- Be compassionate, patient and understanding with a friendly warm attitude.
- Possess a valid driver’s license is an asset but not essential.
- Possess a vehicle with valid auto insurance is an asset but not essential.
- Canadian certification of Personal Support Worker diploma OR International nurse with nursing Leadership Skills
- Currently enrolled in a nursing program, having completed at least one year.
- Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner.
- Possess a valid driver’s license is an asset, but not essential.
- Possess a vehicle with valid auto insurance is an asset but not essential.
Candidates must provide a current vulnerable sector check, as well as three professional references and three personal references.
