What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a teacher (not educator) who is more than a subject expert—someone who understands the unique responsibilities of teaching children within a Canadian school environment and who brings a child-centered, candadian culturally informed, and forward-thinking approach to education. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • A strong foundation in Canadian school culture, gained through meaningful experience as a student, teacher candidate, or educator in a K–12 setting.
  • A relationship-focused approach, creating a classroom environment that is safe, nurturing, and engaging for all students.
  • A clear commitment to student development, supporting both academic achievement and social-emotional growth.
  • Experience in managing a classroom independently, with a deep understanding of Ontario teaching standards, including professional conduct, supervision, and collaboration.
  • A flexible, growth-oriented mindset and a willingness to embrace innovative, future-focused educational practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, families, and fellow educators.
  • A passion for whole-child education, understanding that teaching is not just about content delivery but about shaping confident, capable learners for life.
