Overview

Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in mechanical systems, preventive maintenance, and safety practices, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and stored energy management. This role is critical to ensuring our equipment and facility operate safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems.
  • Follow all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), safe energy isolation, and general facility safety guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical systems and perform basic repairs on motors, conveyors, pumps, and production equipment.
  • Assist with welding and fabrication tasks as needed.
  • Support minor electrical tasks including basic wiring and troubleshooting.
  • Perform basic plumbing repairs and installations as required.
  • Safely operate maintenance equipment including forklifts and scissor lifts (training/certification a plus).
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and ensure a clean, organized workspace.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Support general facility maintenance tasks and respond to emergency repairs as needed.
  • Demonstrate a continuous drive to learn new skills and grow within the role.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or vocational training in mechanical or industrial maintenance.
  • Basic mechanical, welding, electrical, and plumbing knowledge.
  • Understanding of and commitment to safety standards, especially Lockout/Tagout and stored energy procedures.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Basic automotive mechanic safety and repair skills are a plus.
  • Forklift and scissor lift training/certification is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret manuals, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
  • Basic IT skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and maintenance software for logging work orders and documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in a variety of environments.
Schedule

12:00 PM to 8:30 PM or 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM (depending on business needs)

Training will occur during the first shift starting at 6:00 a.m. - duration approximately 30 - 45 days
