Job summary
A nonprofit organization supporting First Nations in Ontario is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee accounting operations, ensure compliance with financial policies, and provide financial insights. The successful candidate will have a CPA designation and at least 4-6 years of experience in finance. Responsibilities include full financial management, budgeting, and mentoring team members. A sensitivity to First Nations cultures and the ability to manage operational efficiencies are essential. Occasional travel within Ontario is required.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in finance.
- Ability to coach staff and set clear expectations.
- Must be bondable.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations including AR, AP, payroll.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and best practices.
- Coordinate audit and tax filing engagements.
