A technology solutions provider is looking for an experienced pre-sales application engineer to join their Sales & Service Team. This home office-based role offers flexibility within the VA/MD area, focusing on driving technical pre-sales processes and achieving sales objectives. Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years of experience in pre-sales roles, strong technical knowledge, and excellent presentation skills.

- 3 to 5 years of pre‑sales or consulting experience.
- Strong understanding of application development and workflow processes.
- Ability to understand and map customer business issues.
Conocimientos
Our client, a provider of application lifecycle management has an opportunity for an experienced pre‑sales application engineer to join their Sales & Service Team. You are a results‑oriented team performer with the motivation and skill to drive the technical pre‑sales process.
This position is home office based; location is flexible within the VA/MD area
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant technical pre‑sales or consulting experience in Fortune 1000 accounts
- Strong understanding of application development and workflow processes
- Ability to understand customer issues and map high level business issues and to provide a roadmap to customer success
- Proficiency with UNIX and Windows NT operating systems
- Programming and scripting skills preferred
- Experience with database administration and configuration - SQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server, UML, DB2
- Strong presentation and communication skills to white board solutions, present demos and lead Proof of Concept (PoC)
- Assess current environments including integration and/or cross platform needs
- Evaluate project scope to determine feasibility and resource requirements
Your superior relationship‑building and technical sales abilities make you an ideal candidate to meet and exceed your teams sales objectives. You have outstanding presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, and a creative approach to solution selling. You should have a demonstrated record of achievement in departmental/enterprise‑wide application software sales or consulting.
