The role entails building relationships with engineers and providing technical support. Armstrongs R&D Project Number 54013 developed by three innovators evolved into ArmaFlex the worlds first flexible closed-cell elastomeric foam for equipment insulation. This product revolutionized the insulation industry. Today 70 years later ArmaFlex continues to be a pillar of Armacells success.

We are looking for a proactive Technical Specification Representative to join our Demand Generation. In this role you will work directly with engineers, architects and key decision-makers to drive preference for Armacell insulation solutions. You’ll influence specifications, provide technical support and help deliver long-term sales growth across industries such as oil & gas, power generation and heavy industry.

This is a remote position; the ideal candidate will be based near Calgary, Montreal or Toronto to allow for convenient travel to customer sites and industry events.

Job Responsibilities
  • Build strong relationships with engineers, architects and asset owners to secure Armacell specifications and create pull-through demand.
  • Maintain influence throughout the full project lifecycle, coordinating with territory sales teams to ensure project success.
  • Provide technical advice on products, applications and code compliance to insulation users and stakeholders across the region.
  • Deliver engaging presentations and demonstrations to educate customers on product features and benefits.
  • Translate customer and market needs into technical requirements to inform Marketing and Product Development.
  • Support the rollout of new products and drive awareness of Armacells insulation solutions.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in engineering, technical field or related discipline (Business/Management considered).
  • 35 years of experience in technical sales, specification influence or a related industry role.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities with a persuasive professional presence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with CRM tools an asset.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% across the region.
  • Bilingual (English and French) strongly preferred.

Posting Dates: September 16, 2025 - September 30, 2025.

The expected compensation range for this role is $75,000.00 - $85,000.00.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increments and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part-time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
