Part-Time Yard Associate
Job summary
A local lumber company in Sault Ste. Marie is seeking a Part-Time Yard Associate to join their Yard & Shipping division. The candidate will provide excellent customer service, perform general labor tasks, and manage materials for delivery. Ideal applicants should be energetic, safety-conscious, and possess a Class G License. This position offers opportunities for individual growth and training while requiring a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
- Enjoy working with the public and customers.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Clean driving record and valid Class G License.
Responsibilities
- Provide prompt and courteous customer service.
- Perform general labour and cleanup duties.
- Locate and select materials for delivery.
- Load and unload trucks with materials.
- Ensure yard is neat and materials secured.
Skills
We are looking for a qualified individual to join our Yard & Shipping division, part-time. The selected candidate will be provided with an opportunity for individual growth and training to build their team effectiveness skills, product knowledge and project expertise.

- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekends, and flexible to work after normal business hours when circumstances dictate

- Locate and select materials to be prepared for delivery
- Load/Unload trucks with materials
- Ensure yard is neat, materials covered and everything secure
