Our software streamlines First Article Inspection (FAI) reporting, ensures compliance with AS9102 standards, and reduces the risk of errors and delays. By integrating powerful data processing capabilities with an intuitive user interface, we help manufacturers optimize their quality management processes.

This position is intended to be on‑site working with local and remote counter parts. However for the right candidate we will consider remote or hybrid work.

As the early hire at GroundControl, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the product and engineering culture for the future of the company. You will work directly with the founding team across engineering, product, and customer success. You will:

• Own the software solutions that are deployed to customers
• Contribute to our Next.js Application and Python/Golang severless functions to improve reliability and progress the product roadmap
• Triage issues, root cause failures, and coordinate next‑steps
• Interface directly with end‑users to turn needs into features while balancing user experience with engineering constraints

• Strong software engineering background (5+ years) from industry
• At least 5 years working with Javascript/Typescript, React in production systems
• Experience building scalable and responsive web‑based user interfaces
• Ability to empathize with end‑users, to turn needs into features, and to balance user experience with engineering constraints to deliver full solutions
• Candidatos must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada and meet all other requirements under Controlled Goods Program (CGP)

• Experience working with Python and/or Golang
• Experience working with LLMs
• Experience working with AWS, in particular GovCloud
• Significant experience with writing test suites for React applications (Jest, Playwright)
• Deep relational database knowledge (Postgres specifically)
• Experience working on enterprise software and the features required by that customer segment

You will talk directly with customers from needs, to design, to production code. You will own entire features end‑to‑end.

All decisions should come directly from listening to customers. Understand their needs and pain points, and make decisions that will benefit the end user.
