SSM1010Y- Principle of Sustainability Management. Taught through a series of lectures, classroom discussions, presentations. The main aim of the course is to develop an understanding of the lens of sustainability management (SM) and its applications in diverse decision-making situations. The lens of SM is neither the lens of sustainability nor the lens of management but includes both and is developed using the concepts of systems and integrative thinking .

In the pursuit of teaching excellence, Sessional Lecturers are required to be superior classroom teachers and to maintain a mastery of the subject area (Sustainability).

Preferred qualifications are either PhD in relevant discipline completed or for non-University of Toronto graduate students, in progress, or relevant qualification or professional designation.

We are seeking previous experience in teaching, teaching excellence, and mastery of subject area. Previous experience in teaching a similar course is highly desirable.

All normal duties related to the design, teaching and delivery of a university credit course including: Weekly lectures. Meeting with student teams to guide/advise them on their assignments. Holding weekly office hours.

Marking/evaluating all student assignments; recording student attendance; recording and submitting grades; and communicating with students on course related matters. Building and maintaining Quercus course shell.
Design course syllabus, content and assignments in close consultation with Program Director.

Liaise with Program Director regarding course content and curriculum.

Minimum $34,535.48

as per CUPE 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement (includes 4% vacation pay)
