Job summary
A staffing agency is looking for a Dental Assistant/Receptionist in Toronto. The role involves assisting the dentist during procedures, sterilizing instruments, and managing patient bookings. Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience as a Level I or II Dental Assistant. The position offers flexible hours, with compensation to be determined based on experience and performance.
Qualifications
- Must have minimum of 1+ year of experience as a Dental Assistant.
- Ability to assist during dental procedures and handle instruments.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentist during procedures, including sterilizing instruments.
- Take x-rays of patients' teeth.
- Book and confirm patients using the Dental software system.
Skills
Our client is looking for a Dental Assistant/Receptionist in Etobicoke, Monday to Thursday.
- Assisting dentist during dental procedures that features handing instruments and other materials
- Sterilizing instruments
- Assisting dentist with restoration - crowns, bridges, veneers, fillings, extractions, root canals, wisdom teeth extraction, implants etc.
- Placement and removal of rubber dams
- Taking x-rays of patients' teeth and exposing dental diagnostic x-rays
- Using suction and swabs to keep patients\' mouths clear and dry during procedures
- Taking preliminary impressions of teeth for study models
- Booking and confirming patients using the Dental software system
- Dealing with insurance companies and submitting predeterminations
- Collecting payments
- Experienced Level I or II Dental Assistant
- Must have minimum of 1+ year of experience
Location: Bloor St West/The West Mall area
Office hours: Hours to be discussed and are flexible
- Monday 7-7
- Tuesday 7-8
- Wednesday 7-7
- Thursday 7-5
Compensation: $TBD depending on experience and performance
