The Department of Families is looking for a qualified candidate to fill a Quality of Care Licensing Specialist position located in Winnipeg.

Duties : Working as a member of the Placement Resources Unit team, a Licensing Specialist ensures that children and youth experience safe environments and high quality services during their child care facility placement. The Licensing Specialist supports child care facilities by monitoring performance, increasing accountability, and promoting effective system practices to meet the needs of children and youth living in child care facilities. The Licensing Specialist works collaboratively with community organizations and CFS agencies to identify challenges and engage sector resources to support positive outcomes for children and youth.
