- Lead complex structural engineering mandates across the mining, energy, and natural resources sectors.
- Oversee structural design and analysis for facilities, industrial structures, and infrastructure in remote and
- challenging environments.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors.
- Contribute to proposal preparation and business development initiatives.
- Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical reports.
Overview of certifications and job requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree is an asset).
- Minimum 15 years of relevant structural engineering experience.
- Significant experience leading projects in the mining, hydroelectric, and energy sectors.
- P.Eng. designation in British Columbia or eligibility for registration.
- Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with Canadian building codes and standards (NBCC, CSA S16, AISC).
- Strong understanding of site execution and construction-phase support.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Experience contributing to technical proposals and business development efforts.
