Job summary
A local bakery in Comox is seeking a skilled baker to prepare various baked goods and supervise staff. The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of experience in baking and is capable of ensuring product quality and maintaining inventory. This position offers 35-40 hours of work per week in a permanent role.
Qualifications
- Experience in baking with minimal education requirement.
- Ability to supervise staff and maintain quality.
Responsibilities
- Prepare dough, batters, and icings for various baked goods.
- Supervise personnel ensuring quality standards.
- Organize and maintain inventory in the bakery.
- No degree, certificate or diploma
- Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders
- Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff
- Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas
- Organize and maintain inventory
