Our internships and co‑ops are designed to provide you with a business relevant project that will allow you to independently manage your own area of responsibility, while receiving support from an assigned Supervisor and Technical Mentor. We are seeking a student to join us for a 4‑month co‑op position starting in May 2026. This position will be based out of the Mississauga or Calgary office.

What You’ll Be Working On
  • Extract, transform, and load data from diverse data sources for data analysis and reporting used
  • Ensure data quality and perform data cleaning as needed
  • Experience creating and maintaining reports, and dashboards in Power BI an asset
  • Assist in analyzing historical construction data and improving data quality where needed
  • Assist in data strategy efforts, including updating data flowcharts
  • Support data science efforts by identifying machine learning and Python automation opportunities, sourcing and preparing data, and developing models and workflows for construction activities
  • Complete data related courses
  • Other duties as assigned by the Project Data Analyst
Who We Need On Our Team
  • You are currently enrolled in a post-secondaryundergraduate or master’s program, in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related discipline such as Information Systems, Engineering, or Data Analytics
  • You will complete at least one more semester of education following your internship and possess a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Ability to lead and operate within an environment where change happens frequently
  • Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships
  • Exemplify the Ideal Team Player – Hungry, Humble, Smart – Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a positive attitude
  • Residency, or a valid work permit which would allow you to work for Bird Construction or one of our wholly owned subsidiaries
