Business Systems Analyst – API Integration

We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst, who will be a key member of the project team, contributing to planning and project execution from ideation to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong API fundamentals skills and will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing business systems solutions that leverage API technologies.

What you’ll do
- Collaborate on planning, prioritization, and design.
- Understand the business problem the project aims to solve and ensure the project team remains focused on it.
- Define and manage project scope with the project team.
- Work on business requirements related to IT / Integration.
- Document business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
- Analyze existing systems and processes to identify improvement areas and integration opportunities.
- Perform data mapping tasks; conduct vendor workshops and business model office training.
- Create, monitor, and review sprint plans, seeking opportunities for optimization.
- Organize and lead working sessions and project update meetings across organizational levels.
- Partner closely with business and technical team members to support project objectives.
- Identify project issues and roadblocks, and develop mitigation and resolution steps.
- Collaborate with QA teams on API automation testing and enhancing the API QA framework.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for project and process improvements.
What you’ll bring
- 3-5 years of experience in business systems analysis, with a focus on API technologies.
- Experience with IBM WebSphere Message Broker, JBOSS, Fuse, and Spring framework implementations.
- Solid understanding of API fundamentals, including RESTful and SOAP APIs, API security, API management, XML, and JSON formats.
- Knowledge of cloud-based API solutions and Microservices architecture is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Atlassian project management tools.
- CIP certification or strong insurance knowledge preferred.
- Customer/business focus, strong stakeholder management, and results orientation.
