Overview

This role is an opportunity in the exciting and fast-growing transportation technology industry. Public transit is being transformed from a system of static, scheduled fixed-routes, to a dynamic on-demand network of vehicles, and you’ll be one of the pioneers shaping this transformation.

Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Work closely with project managers and project teams to support accurate project reporting and update cost projections to reflect the current project's status.
  • Provide timely and relevant project analysis, tracking & reporting, accounting month-end coordination, invoicing, and cash management duties on customer projects.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to provide financial insights, planning, and variance analysis.
  • Support pricing proposal submissions and conduct costing analysis.
  • Lead finance department projects that enhance data-driven decision-making and improve overall company efficiency.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports by collecting, analyzing, formatting, and presenting the information in a timely manner.
  • Drive existing management reporting - analyze financial results, distill and synthesize issues, communicate key messages to senior management.
  • Support the strategic planning and budgeting process and monitor relevant KPIs.
  • Improve operational efficiency by streamlining processes, supporting standardization, and enhancing reporting automation.
  • Assist with external audit requests and procedures.
  • Work with transactions involving multi-currency.
  • Other duties/projects as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
  • 5+ years of related experience in management reporting, financial planning and analysis coupled with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or another related field. CPA Certification preferred.
  • Progressive experience in sales operations and finance within a SaaS company
  • Excellent technical skills in software revenue recognition
  • Proficient in Excel. Experience working with business intelligence tools, such as Power BI, is an asset
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-starter who regularly takes initiative and can juggle multiple projects while simultaneously demonstrating creativity and judgment
  • Interacts well with others - internal finance team, senior managers, and external parties
  • Maintains confidentiality when dealing with highly sensitive information.
  • Thrives in a nimble, lean, and fast-paced environment

  • Base Salary: $90K - $110K + performance-based bonus + stock options
