A leading fintech company in the UAE is seeking a Software Engineer - Ruby On Rails to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will provide Level 2 support, addressing complex technical issues and ensuring clients have a seamless experience with the software products. Candidates should have over 4 years of experience in software development, be proficient in Ruby On Rails, SQL, and Kafka Streaming, and possess strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in software development.
- Proficiency in Ruby On Rails, SQL, Kafka Streaming.
- Problem-solving mindset and strong critical thinking skills.
Responsibilities
- Handle complex technical issues as Level 2 support.
- Provide immediate hotfixes and long-term improvements.
- Communicate clearly with the customer success team.
Skills
The Software Engineer - Ruby On Rails will work as part of our dynamic team. Playing a key role in assisting our clients with technical issues. This role involves answering technical questions and dealing with incidents as they arise providing exceptional support to ensure clients have seamless experience with our software products.
- This role is Level 2 support - handling complex technical issues.
- Must have a deep understanding of the software's architecture and code to identify and fix intricate problems.
- Provide immediate hotfixes and long term improvements for customer-facing defects.
- Analyse software code to identify potential issues or areas for improvement.
- Communicate with the customer success team about complex technical issues in a clear and understandable manner.
- Ensure that customer issues are resolved in a timely manner and meet high-quality standards.
- 4+ years of experience in software development.
- Proficiency in technologies/languages including Ruby On Rails, SQL, Kafka Streaming and basic AWS services is a must.
- NodeJS/NestJS/TypeScript - nice to have.
- Problem-solving mindset and critical thinking.
