The General Manager for Contract Logistics oversees warehouse and transport operations across multiple sites in Dubai. This role manages a large team, ensures financial performance, and fosters strong client relationships to deliver customized logistics solutions. - Manage daily warehouse and transport operations, ensuring efficient inbound, outbound, and picking processes.
- Oversee budgets, optimize costs, and implement process improvements using methodologies like Six Sigma and DMAIC.
- Lead and inspire a diverse team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Build and maintain client relationships, ensuring delivery against KPIs and SLAs.
- Implement and optimize warehouse management systems (WMS), such as Manhattan or SPEED, to enhance operational efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including automation and process redesign, to reduce costs and improve performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001.
- Collaborate with sales teams to develop and present tailored solutions to existing and prospective clients.

- 8-15 years of experience in contract logistics, supply chain, or warehousing, including 5 years in a senior role, such as General Manager or Site Lead.
- Proven success managing large-scale operations (300,000+ sq ft warehouses) with budgets exceeding £10M.
- A track record of improving on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and client satisfaction metrics.
- Experience leading teams of 500+ in both unionized and non-unionized environments.
- Expertise in warehouse management systems (e.g., Manhattan, SPEED) and process improvement tools like Six Sigma and DMAIC.
- Strong client management skills, with experience handling closed-book and open-book contracts and achieving commercial goals.
- A degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Fluency in English
- Readiness to be based in Dubai with occasional travel.
Within six months, the General Manager should achieve 95%+ on-time delivery and client KPIs.
