We are seeking a Pre-Sales Solutions Architect to support sales efforts across the Middle East and India. This is a technical customer-facing role for a storage-savvy professional who can work side-by-side with Sales, engage directly with customers and VARs, and support post-sale transitions with confidence and clarity.
This is an individual contributor role for someone who thrives on solving real-world customer challenges using leading-edge technologies. You’ll be the trusted technical advisor translating customer requirements into solution architectures that are robust, scalable, and cost-effective.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Support & Solution Design
- Act as the technical point of contact for pre-sales engagements across UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, and India.
- Design and present tailored solutions across Spectra Logic’s portfolio, aligning with customer requirements around backup, archive, data protection, ransomware mitigation, hybrid cloud, and long-term retention.
- Deliver compelling product demos, technical presentations, and architecture whiteboarding.
Partner & Customer Enablement
- Train and support VARs and customers to increase confidence in deploying and managing Spectra solutions.
- Assist in building joint value propositions with partners, including solution validation and proof-of-concept execution.
Technical Leadership (Non-Managerial)
- Engage early in the sales cycle to shape opportunities and position the optimal solution.
- Own the technical relationship and act as the voice of the customer internally, ensuring alignment with engineering, product, and support teams.
Post-Sales Transition & Retention
- Support smooth handover to post-sales and service teams.
- Occasionally assist with first-line technical queries and on-site support, especially in critical early deployment phases.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
- Minimum 3 years in a technical pre-sales, systems engineering, or solution architect role focused on enterprise storage.
- Strong understanding of storage architectures including tape, disk, object storage, hybrid cloud, and data protection ecosystems.
- Familiarity with industry solutions such as LTO, S3-compatible object storage, HSM, backup tools (e.g. Veeam, Commvault), and related infrastructure.
- Exposure to data security practices, ransomware mitigation, and storage infrastructure resilience.
Skills
- Excellent customer-facing skills—able to build trust, explain complex concepts clearly, and adapt to diverse audiences (technical and executive).
- Experience working with VARs and channel partners.
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced, distributed team environment.
- Strong commercial awareness to balance technical integrity with business outcomes.
Other Requirements
- Willingness and ability to travel from a remote or office location to customer sites across the territory, up to 50% of the time.
- “Hungry” mindset—proactive, curious, driven, and eager to grow.
- Fluent English; Arabic-speaking candidates are strongly preferred.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Background in working with public cloud, national research labs, or media and entertainment organisations (i.e. data-intensive sectors).
- Hands-on experience with Spectra Logic products or similar tape library and object storage vendors.
- Education:Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
