Overview

We are looking for a creative, proactive, and detail-oriented Social Media Intern to support our digital communications efforts. This paid internship offers hands-on experience in content creation, social media strategy, and analytics across multiple platforms. You’ll work closely with our communications team to help grow our online presence and engage key audiences in the UAE and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, scheduling, and publishing content across social media platforms (e.g. LinkedIn, Instagram, X/Twitter).
• Draft engaging copy, source visuals, and contribute ideas for posts, stories, and campaigns.
• Monitor engagement and respond to comments/messages in a timely and professional manner.
• Support the creation of monthly content calendars and campaign plans.
• Conduct research on trends, hashtags, and competitor activity to help inform strategy.
• Assist with basic graphic design using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Track performance metrics and prepare weekly/monthly reports on engagement and reach.
• Help maintain brand consistency and quality across all social media output.
• Participate in team brainstorms and offer creative input on campaigns and messaging.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Journalism, or a related field.
• Demonstrated interest in social media, digital communications, or content creation (personal or academic).
• Familiarity with major platforms: LinkedIn, Instagram, X/Twitter, and emerging channels.
• Strong writing and editing skills with attention to tone, grammar, and detail.
• Basic design and visual storytelling skills; experience with Canva, Adobe Illustrator, or similar tools is a plus.
• Highly organised, reliable, and capable of meeting deadlines.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• A creative mindset and willingness to learn and take initiative.
