Our Transport Team is growing in UAE, and we have an opportunity for a Transport Engineer to support and deliver technical solutions within our Civil Infrastructure Team.

What does the role look like?
- Work collaboratively providing transportation investigation, design, and assessment for clients.
- Support transportation projects from investigation through design and construction, including civil design management.
- Act as a proactive extension of our clients' teams, offering technical and operational advice and seeking innovative solutions.
- Share your ideas and develop your skills within our 'leaders everywhere' approach.
- Mentor and support less experienced staff in technical skills and workload management.
- Contribute to GHD projects across urban design and transport planning fields.
- Assist in preparing bids and proposals for business development.
- Enhance GHD's profile through high-quality project delivery and business initiatives.
Essential Skills and Experience
The candidate should demonstrate:
- A solid understanding of transport planning and modeling principles.
- Experience with project controls, managing small to medium-sized commissions.
- Ability to manage diverse workloads, contribute to business opportunities, and stay updated on technical developments.
- An innovative approach to problem-solving and client relations.
- Effective teamwork and independent work skills.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and committed to valuable contributions.
- Experience with planning studies, development applications, and analyses.
- Familiarity with industry-standard software such as Cube, Visum, Vissim, SIDRA, Synchro, and HCS (desirable).
- Experience conducting field inspections and working with large datasets in MS Excel.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Understanding of project management techniques and team coordination skills.
Additional Information
- Experience profile: 4 years in transportation engineering and planning.
Qualifications
- Membership in a professional institution (CIHT, ICE, TPS).
- Eligibility for chartership or licensure (preferred).
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Experience with road safety engineering and audits.
