Overview of the role:

As the Data Capability Manager within the Data and Analytics team, you will be responsible for delivery of innovative data and analytics solutions, ensuring Al Futtaim Business stays at the forefront of technical excellence in Data Platform Capabilities particularly Web-based Full Stack development. This pivotal role encompasses working with a dynamic team, optimizing current processes, and leading the charge in Azure-based development projects and incorporating global best practices. Your mission will harness data's power to drive business success, embodying a blend of technical mastery, strategic thinking, and leadership.

What you will do:

1. Guide and develop a high-performing Data Capability team, fostering a culture of innovation, efficiency, and collaboration. Ensure alignment with business goals and delivery of exceptional business outcomes.
2. Apply your deep expertise in Full Stack Developments and other Data Engineering tools to refine and expand our data capabilities.
3. Lead the end-to-end process of designing, documenting, developing, implementing, and testing innovative prototypes that showcase the value of data. You will present these prototypes to various stakeholders, demonstrating the potential impact on our business.
4. Conduct a thorough analysis of diverse data sources and develop scalable data assets.
5. Oversee the development and integration of Web Apps, Function Apps, and custom user interfaces, ensuring robust data modeling, quality, governance, and security practices.
6. Be responsible for creating reusable and scalable data assets that support ongoing and future projects.
7. Oversee the integration of our Data Platform with web-based solutions and custom-developed user interfaces.
8. Demonstrate strong team-player qualities by collaborating with members across multiple engineering teams.
9. Adapt to both agile and waterfall project delivery methodologies, guiding both internal and external teams to ensure timely and on-spec business deliveries. As a senior team member your leadership will navigate the team through dynamic project environments to meet and exceed business expectations.
10. Proven track record in leading development and delivery of Web Based Full Stack development projects.
11. Advanced proficiency in relational and non-relational databases, demonstrating a deep understanding of data structures, theories, principles, and practices.
12. Should have expertise in WebApps development including backend development using ASP.net, MVC, C#, Integration with Azure MFA Authentication.
13. Should have expertise in SQL Language and Server Management, Azure Environment.
14. Excellent debugging skills to check Azure App service Logs and database Logs.
15. Should have strong skills in integration with external Token-based APIs. Like Graph API for Azure AD management.
16. Expertise in Building Function Apps using Python (OOP), creating and managing Azure resources, Azure functions and development of VS custom codes.
17. Should be well versed with usage of Azure DevOps and GIT for code management.
18. Should have knowledge of Data Engineering components like Python, PySpark, Spark SQL, Databricks UI, Unity Catalog, SCIM Integration, External Location, Databricks cluster and job management.
19. Should have strong experience in Azure App Service, Azure SQL Database, Function apps, Azure Service Bus and Event Grid.
20. Should have experience on no-SQL Databases like MongoDB, Cosmos.

About the Team:

You will be reporting to Data Engineering Lead

What equips you for the role:

1. At least 10+ years of experience in the domains of Data & Analytics platforms
2. Minimum 5+ years of dedicated experience in the design, development, and management of web-based data management portals and tools.
3. Minimum 3+ years of practical experience building and managing data pipelines with multiple source system integrations, with a proven track record in implementing analytics capabilities, from conceptualization to delivery.
4. Experience or Knowledge of Data Analytics tools like Alteryx, Tableau and PowerBI will be considered as added advantage.
5. Knowledge of SAP (BW/BO /ERP), ETL Tools will be considered as an added advantage.
6. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field of study.
7. Certifications in Data & Analytics platform toolsets will be considered as a significant advantage.
