Production Manager
Job summary
An established industry player is seeking a seasoned production manager to lead their production department in Dubai. This role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring product quality, and managing budgets effectively. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of relevant experience, particularly in hydraulics and control systems, and a degree in hydraulics or mechanics. Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in production management required.
- Experience in hydraulics and control systems preferred.
Responsibilities
- Oversee production department and daily operations.
- Ensure optimum product quality and technical performance.
- Manage budgets and hiring for direct reports.
Skills
Education
Responsible for the entire production department and day to day activities related to production / workshop.
- Ensure the roles, responsibilities, authorities, accountabilities and performance measures of direct reports are defined, understood and enforced.
- Preparation & monitoring of Production and Maintenance Budgets to ensure cost effective operation.
- Particular responsibility for hiring direct reports, in conjunction with the HR Department.
- Checks and signs job tickets and invoices up to approved levels.
- Responsibility for production operations and accountable for technical performance of equipment.
- Ensures optimum product quality by management of flow rates and operating pressures.
- Maintain technical integrity by execution of a preventative and proactive maintenance programme.
- Monitor repairs and rebuilds to ensure they are performed properly, safely and economically, optimising maintenance programme based on historical performance.
- Ensures adequate stocks of corrosion inhibitors are available for continuous and batch treatments.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in production.
Experience in hydraulics, valves, and control systems is preferred.
Degree in hydraulics/mechanics is a must.
Oil and gas experience is an advantage.
