Job summary
A leading automotive e-commerce company in Dubai is seeking a Workshop Supervisor to oversee workshop operations. The candidate will manage technicians and ensure quality repairs in line with time and safety standards. A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in an automotive dealership is required, along with a diploma in a related field. Effective communication skills in English, with Arabic being advantageous, will help in driving team performance and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications

- Knowledge in mechanical, electrical & body repairs.

Responsibilities
- Ensure optimum utilization of available workshop technicians.

- Review pre-order forms to confirm parts requirements.
- Ensure quality checks on finished jobs are done.

What will be your mission?
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Workshop Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring optimum utilization of the available workshop technicians and resources to achieve set operational efficiency targets. The role involves ensuring the team carries out vehicle repair and service activities in accordance to the quality standards, safety and efficiency guidelines and within set time frames.
What will you do?
- Prepares the team for the upcoming job and allocates job cards to them to align the jobs to the skills set and efficiency level and maximize throughput on time
- Reviews pre-order forms to confirm parts requirements are well-matched with the issue on hand and guaranteed to fix the problem
- Ensures quality checks are done on finished jobs by the technicians
- Prepare quotations. Coordinate with service advisors seeking approval
- Reviews workshop figures, such as hours sold, hours worked versus idle hours to monitor progress of operational targets. This includes preparing reports for management discussions
- Monitors communication with customers through Service
- Monitors and improves the competency of team members. Accountable for the functioning and repairs of tools / equipment being used in the workshop
- Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical / Automotive or related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as supervisor in a reputed automotive dealership
- Knowledge in mechanical, electrical & body repairs.
- Sound technical knowledge in vehicle diagnosis and repair
- Good communicator in English; Arabic an advantage

- Knowledge of technical software
- Valid UAE Passenger Bus driver’s license will be an advantage
