JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is currently recruiting an experienced PMC Lead Project Control Engineer for a key client in Abu Dhabi, within our Project Controls team in the Oil, Gas & New Energies sector.

The position is primarily based at the client’s office, with potential onshore site work in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The Role

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Project Controls Manager with a strong background in cost and schedule management, to oversee a high-value project portfolio for a prominent client.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Project Controls Lead/Project Lead, managing project planning and scheduling for engineering and construction phases
• Develop, maintain, and report on detailed project plans
• Ensure project delivery aligns with client schedules and quality standards
• Maintain high safety standards
• Create Work Breakdown Structures and detailed schedules for design, construction, pre-commissioning, and start-up phases
• Coordinate with stakeholders to develop and review project schedules

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of relevant oil and gas industry experience
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• Knowledge of engineering, procurement, and construction planning processes and tools
• Experience with CTR and progress measurement
• Experience working with multicultural teams; Middle East experience is a plus
