The Real Estate Developments Division is responsible for the development and delivery of operational for the real estate projects at Expo City Dubai. The team is responsible for implementing the development strategy for Expo City Dubai and works with variety of stakeholders from the master planning phase, through design and construction, to ensure the delivery of large-scale construction projects.

The Project Manager - Buildings purpose is to be responsible for delivery for all aspects of capital works building projects delivery scope of works from contract kick off to project completion.

The main responsibilities for this role include:

• Ability to manage multiple buildings related works packages in parallel.
• Have excellent technical knowledge of all facets of building construction, including mid, high rise and low rise developments
• Have excellent knowledge of authorities requirements and processes for approvals
• Review of consultant and contractor IFC designs for any scope gaps, technical issues or opportunities for improvement, including VE
• Review of pre-construction documentation provided by the contractor including shop drawings, material/ equipment submittals and samples, quality plans and method statements.
• Tracking of contractor submissions, technical, procurement, long lead items etc
• Assist in technical coordination meetings with consultants, contractors and utility providers.
• Review of construction progress including schedules, KPI's tracking and quality control/ auditing
• Manage interfaces on site with our projects/contracts and logistics requirements
• Review of all testing and commissioning activities and liaison with the programme Commissioning Authority.
• Support in preparing the close out strategy and review of documentation such as record drawings and O&M manuals provided by the contractor .
• Assist commercial team in valuation of works and change control.
• Assist in production of project reports.
• Provide reports to Senior Managers and Directors as necessary
• Monitoring and coordinating package contractors works on site etc

Knowledge, Qualifications & Skills required:

Essential:

6 years of industry experience and have held a similar role for at least 2 years as well as:

• Hold a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related degree
• Have a minimum of 6 years industry experience and have held a similar role for at least 2 years.
• Experience in large Community Development projects
• Discipline specific professional registration preferred (CIBSE, IMechE, MEIT, PMP).
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Good Communication skills.
• Proactive approach to identification and resolution of issues.
• Good knowledge of Dubai Local authorities processes
• Good knowledge of FIDIC forms of contractors

Desirable:

• Arabic language
• Contracting background
