Position Overview
Coordinate design, construction and testing & commissioning of MEP activities of the project, from initiation to closeout ensuring the adherence to project schedule, specifications and drawings.
Responsibilities
- Plan the project execution; prepare detailed working schedules and look ahead schedules of MEP activities based on the project schedule.
- Prepare detailed Material Submittal schedule based on the Project Schedule.
- Prepare a comprehensive schedule of all planned drawing submittals based on the project schedule.
- Prepare methods/procedures for interface/tie in with existing services of the project.
- Coordinate / follow up with subcontractors to ensure submittals including shop drawings, material submittals and document submittals are completed as per the schedule.
- Review subcontractor’s submittals including material submittals and document submittals for Accuracy, Quality and incorporation of relevant information.
- Review the technical queries/clarifications from the subcontractor, prepare clarification and raise the relevant queries/clarifications to MEP Manager. Review the clarifications from the consultant and transmit to all interfacing subcontractors as per MEP Manager’s direction.
- Review subcontractor’s shop drawings and coordinated drawings for Accuracy, Quality and incorporation of relevant information.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, Project team and Consultants to ensure the work progress is as per schedule.
- Conduct Material inspections to verify the compliance to the specifications. Ensure all rejected materials are tagged and removed from the site.
- Conduct work inspections to verify the compliance to drawings and specifications. Coordinate with subcontractor to complete the comments raised from internal and consultant’s inspections.
- Coordinate with subcontractor, Project team and consultant for implementing the corrective actions and closing the site NCRs and deficiencies identified by the QA QC Team.
- Conduct site surveillance, Meetings, and discussions with team and subcontractors for the work progress, analyze the resource adequacy/requirement for achieving the schedule. Implement corrective actions for any variations from the plan and verify the effectiveness.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, Project team and consultants for completing the testing and commissioning activities of the project as per project schedule.
- Review red line drawings and as built drawings from subcontractor for accuracy and incorporation of relevant information.
- Conduct internal snagging and coordinate with subcontractors for closing the internal and consultant’s snag lists.
Requirements
- At least 5 years relevant experience in MEP works and Construction Management
- Preferably degree / diploma qualified
- Broad knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing works
