Network Engineer / Architect – Azure Network Migration

A leading technology firm in Dubai seeks a skilled Network Engineer / Architect to lead Azure networking and cloud migration projects. The ideal candidate will design Azure Landing Zones, assess network configurations, and execute migrations with a focus on minimizing downtime. Strong expertise in Azure networking tools and security components is essential. The role requires a proven background in large-scale Azure migration projects and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in large-scale Azure migration projects.
- Strong background as a Network or Security Engineer/Architect.
- Hands-on experience designing Azure Enterprise Landing Zones.
Responsabilités
- Discuss and finalize Azure Landing Zone (ALZ) design with clients.
- Build detailed Landing Zone design documents and architecture diagrams.
- Assess existing on-premises network and security configurations prior to migration.
- Build and configure Azure Landing Zone components.
- Migrate Firewall and WAF rules from on-premises to Azure.
- Create and maintain migration runbooks with execution plans.
- Participate in migration cutover execution, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Connaissances
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer / Architect with strong expertise in Azure networking and cloud migration projects. The ideal candidate will lead Azure Landing Zone design, assess current on-premises network/security setup, and execute end-to-end Azure network migration activities.
- Discuss and finalize Azure Landing Zone (ALZ) design with clients.
- Build detailed Landing Zone design documents and architecture diagrams.
- Assess existing on-premises network and security configurations prior to migration.
- Build and configure Azure Landing Zone, VNets, Subnets, NSGs, Firewalls, WAF, Peering, and other network components.
- Migrate Firewall and WAF rules from on-premises to Azure platforms.
- Create and maintain migration runbooks, including step-by-step execution plans.
- Participate in and lead migration cutover execution, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Cloud, Security, Applications, Vendors).
- Proven experience in large-scale Azure migration projects.
- Strong background as a Network or Security Engineer/Architect.
- Hands‑on experience designing Azure Enterprise Landing Zones.
- Expertise with network & security technologies (Firewalls, WAF, VPN, SD‑WAN, Routing, DNS, etc.).
- Strong understanding of Azure networking tools and services.
