Job summary
A leading hotel company in Dubai is seeking a Safety Officer to monitor and assess hazardous situations, ensuring personnel safety. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in a hotel environment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to exceeding guest expectations. Responsibilities include developing safety measures, facilitating OSH compliance, and conducting risk assessments. This is a full-time position with no options for remote work.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a hotel environment is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal required.
- Committed to exceeding guest expectations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess hazardous and unsafe situations.
- Develop measures to assure personnel safety.
- Facilitate compliance with occupational health and safety (OSH) guidelines.
- Assist in conducting risk assessments and enforce preventative measures.
- Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity.
- Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy.
- Record and investigate incidents to determine root causes and advise on corrective measures.
- Understand the operation of electrical refrigeration and fire fighting systems.
