Chief Accountant jobs in United Arab Emirates

Oversee and manage the complete finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Ensure compliance with IFRS and local regulatory standards.

Liaise with auditors for year-end audits and ensure timely closure.

General Ledger (GL) Management:

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Review journal entries, ledger postings, and ensure proper cost allocation.

Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.

MIS Reporting:

Prepare and analyze Monthly MIS reports for management, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and variance analysis.

Support decision-making by providing detailed financial performance reports and trend analysis.

Collaborate with departments to gather financial data for reporting and forecasting.

Inventory and Cost Control:

Coordinate with inventory and warehouse teams to ensure accurate inventory valuation and costing.

Monitor inventory aging and coordinate with sales teams for movement planning.

Manage bank reconciliations and ensure timely settlement of accounts payable and receivable.

Coordinate with banks for facilities, documentation, and transactions.

Team Supervision:

Lead and mentor junior accountants and ensure timely task completion.

Conduct regular reviews and training to enhance team performance and accuracy.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA / CA Intermediate preferred).

Strong experience in finalization of accounts, GL maintenance, and MIS reporting.

Prior experience in the Home Appliances Trading industry is highly preferred.

Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle).

Advanced Excel and analytical skills.

Strong communication and coordination skills.
