An Electrical Draftsman plays a critical role in transforming engineering concepts into detailed technical drawings necessary for electrical installations and systems. These professionals use computer-aided design (CAD) software to draft plans and blueprints that ensure the accurate implementation of electrical projects, ranging from residential setups to complex industrial systems. Working closely with engineers, architects, and construction teams, Electrical Draftsmen are integral in the design and layout of lighting, power, and telecommunications systems. • Prepare detailed electrical layouts and diagrams using CAD software for various projects.

• Edit and update existing electrical designs to reflect updated project requirements.
• Ensure all electrical drawings comply with industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct site visits as necessary to collect data and provide drawing updates.
• Coordinate with project managers to align drafting work with project timelines.
• Interpret complex engineering sketches to produce detailed engineering drawings.
• Provide technical support to construction teams for the interpretation of designs.
• Maintain organized records of drafts and revisions for project documentation.
• Assist in the development of electrical documentation for tenders and project proposals.
• Continuously update skills and knowledge to remain current with industry technologies.

• A diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is required.
• Proven experience as an Electrical Draftsman in a professional setting.
• Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD and Revit, is essential.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and applicable standards is necessary.
• Excellent attention to detail and precision in drawing production.
• Ability to work collaboratively with engineering and construction teams effectively.
• Strong communication skills to ensure clarity and alignment with project stakeholders.
