Qualifications

Job description

To lead and manage the electrical drafting team in preparing accurate shop drawings, layouts, and as-built drawings in compliance with project specifications, authority requirements, and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, supervise, and coordinate the electrical drafting team.
• Prepare and review electrical shop drawings, layouts, schematics, and as-built drawings.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, contract documents, and authority regulations.
• Coordinate with electrical engineers, site teams, and other disciplines (MEP, architectural, structural) to resolve design clashes.
• Review and implement consultant/client comments on drawings.
• Maintain drawing registers and ensure timely submission and approvals.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and project timelines.
• Support value engineering and design optimization where applicable.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior draughtsmen.

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficient in AutoCAD, BIM and relevant drafting software (Revit knowledge is an advantage).
• Strong understanding of electrical systems including power, lighting, ELV, and earthing.
• Knowledge of local authority regulations and standards.
• Excellent coordination, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
