Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Electrical Draftsman to prepare accurate electrical shop drawings and drafts for building projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in the UAE, and proficiency in AutoCAD. You will be responsible for ensuring drawings meet local standards and coordinating with other engineering disciplines. Immediate availability is required for this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience as an Electrical Draftsman.
• Experience working on building/infrastructure projects in the GCC especially the UAE.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and drafting standards.
• Familiarity with local authority regulations and submission requirements.
• Must be currently residing in the UAE and available to join immediately.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate electrical shop drawings layouts and as-built drawings using AutoCAD.
• Draft power lighting low current and other electrical systems in accordance with project specifications.
• Coordinate with electrical engineers and other MEP disciplines to ensure cohesive and clash-free designs.
• Review and revise drawings based on design changes and site conditions.
• Ensure that all drawings adhere to local authority standards and project specifications.
• Maintain organized drawing files and ensure timely submission of required documentation.

• Coordinate with electrical engineers and other MEP disciplines to ensure cohesive and clash‑free designs.

• Ensure that all drawings adhere to local authority standards (DEWA ADDC SEWA etc.) and project specifications.
• Maintain organized drawing files and ensure timely submission of required documentation.

Key Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience as an Electrical Draftsman.
• Experience working on building/infrastructure projects in the GCC especially the UAE.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit is a plus.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and drafting standards.
